Soap for your baby's bath time, from the Hydro Med range.
A baby's skin is thinner and more delicate than an adult's, so bath time should be short, warm and gentle. Most babies do not need a bath every day; a few times a week, with a quick wipe of the face, hands and nappy area in between, is enough for many families.
Use lukewarm water, never hot, and test it with your wrist or elbow. Use only a little soap, make a light lather in your hands, wash gently and rinse well, paying attention to the skin folds of the neck, arms and legs. Pat your baby dry with a soft towel instead of rubbing, and dress them in soft cotton.
Hydro Med Baby Soap has a tear-free formula with shea butter, vitamin E, hyaluronic acid and glycerin, made for baby bath time. Even so, keep lather away from the eyes. Try any new product on a small patch of skin first. If your baby has a rash, very dry patches or skin that worries you, please ask your paediatrician.
Many babies only need a bath a few times a week. Ask your paediatrician what suits your baby.
